Macro shot of the LC connector of a single mode fiber. Isn't it a beautiful piece of hardware? :)
When lit, light travels through the little hole in the center of the connector; I actually verified that the fiber still works by pointing the other end to a lamp and observing the light through the macro lens.
Shot through a 60mm/2.8 macro lens, lit using my desk lamp. HDR of three shots.
Luminance HDR 2.0.0 tonemapping parameters:

Spatial Kernel Sigma: 8
Range Kernel Sigma: 1.21
